New Jersey Early Intervention is provided to children with developmental disabilities from birth to age three years.
Child find/referral, service coordination, comprehensive/multi-disciplinary assessments, procedural safeguards and development and on-going reviews of your child’s IFSP are provided at no cost. However, Federal law allows states to charge families based on ability to pay for IFSP services other than those aforementioned. These services can be speech, physical therapy, occupational therapy, developmental intervention, etc. Services are obtained by contacting Special Child Health services in the county in which you reside.
